Oct 7th Meeting 2008
Our speaker tonight was David Marable. He did a presentation on growing hardy figs and spoke about the history of Levittown and it’s gardens. We also saw a video of an old film taken by William Levitt in the 1950′s of his development of Levittown. It was a fascinating look into the past. David showed slides of his Snowball Gate Garden and all the historic plants/shrubs he has collected through the years. He also shared his fig growing secrets!
